Curry Hot Sandwich with Sausage & Cabbage (Kewpie Spread)

This crispy hot sandwich is packed with sausage, shredded cabbage, melted cheese, and rich Kewpie Curry Spread. A satisfying Japanese-style lunch or snack that’s perfect hot off the press.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 4 slices of sandwich bread (8-slice cut)
  • 1 bag of shredded cabbage (approx. 120g)
  • 8 mini sausages (approx. 160g)
  • Shredded pizza cheese, as needed
  • Salad oil, as needed
  • 60g Kewpie Curry Spread

Instructions

  1. Spread Kewpie Curry Spread on one side of two slices of bread.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and cook the sausages until browned.
  3. In a sandwich press or hot sandwich maker, layer curry-spread bread, cooked sausage, shredded cabbage, and cheese. Top with a plain slice of bread and grill until both sides are crisp and golden. Repeat to make a second sandwich.
