Garlic Pork Rice Bowl with Aohata Verde Spread

This savory garlic pork rice bowl is rich in umami thanks to Aohata Verde Garlic Toast Spread and soy sauce. Served hot over steamed rice and topped with scallions, it’s a quick and hearty Japanese-style meal that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 150g pork shoulder (thin slices, suitable for ginger pork)
  • 1 bowl cooked rice
  • 1 stalk green onion, finely sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Aohata Verde Garlic Toast Spread (approx. 7 arrows on the package)

Instructions

  1. Cut pork into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat 1/3 of the garlic spread in a frying pan, add pork, and cook until browned.
  3. Add the remaining garlic spread and soy sauce. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the pork.
  4. Serve over a bowl of hot rice and sprinkle with chopped green onion.

Tip: For a full meal, serve with miso soup or pickled vegetables. You can also try it with a soft-boiled egg for extra richness.
