
Mentaiko Fried Rice with Aohata Verde Toast Spread
This savory fried rice gets a rich umami boost from Aohata Verde Mentaiko Toast Spread. Stir-fried with crispy bacon and fresh green onions, it’s a quick and flavorful Japanese-style meal perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
- 400g cooked rice
- 5 stalks green onion, finely sliced
- 2 slices bacon, cut into 1cm strips
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons Aohata Verde Mentaiko Toast Spread (approx. 15 arrows on the package)
Instructions
- Slice green onions and cut bacon into strips.
- Heat the mentaiko spread in a frying pan. Add green onions and bacon, and sauté until fragrant and lightly browned.
- Add cooked rice and stir-fry evenly to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Tip: Use day-old rice for the best texture. This dish pairs well with a soft-boiled egg or a side of miso soup.
