
Sugar Butter Toast with Vanilla Ice Cream – Aohata Verde Dessert Toast
This indulgent dessert toast combines the warm crispiness of toasted bread with the sweet richness of Aohata Verde Sugar Butter Toast Spread and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. A popular Japanese-style dessert café item that’s easy to make at home!
Ingredients (Serves 2)
- 1/2 loaf sandwich bread (unsliced or thick-cut)
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Aohata Verde Sugar Butter Toast Spread, as needed
Instructions
- Cut out a square cavity from the center of the bread loaf, keeping the crust intact to form a “box.” Slice the removed bread into 4 bite-sized pieces.
- Spread Aohata Verde Sugar Butter Toast Spread generously on the inside walls, bottom, and rim of the bread box, as well as on the cut pieces.
- Place the bread box and cut pieces on a baking tray and toast in a toaster oven until golden and crispy.
- Fill the bread box with the toasted pieces and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve immediately.
