Napa Cabbage, Bacon & Cheese Mille-Feuille Steam with Kewpie Italian Dressing

Layered napa cabbage, bacon, and cheese steamed to meld flavors and served with Italian dressing

This easy microwave mille-feuille stacks napa cabbage with bacon and cheese for a warm, flavorful dish. Finished with a drizzle of Kewpie Italian Dressing, it's perfect for a cozy side or light meal.

Ingredients (Serves 2, for a 5 cm-deep microwave-safe container)

  • ¼ napa cabbage (approx. 470g), washed with core intact
  • 4 slices bacon (approx. 80g)
  • 100g shredded pizza cheese
  • Kewpie Italian Dressing, to taste (served separately)

Instructions

  1. Wash the napa cabbage thoroughly without removing the core to help keep leaves intact.
  2. Layer bacon and shredded cheese evenly between cabbage leaves.
  3. Cut the layered cabbage into 5 cm-wide sections, remove the core from each piece.
  4. Place the pieces upright in a deep microwave-safe container. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600 W for about 6 minutes.
    Serve with Italian dressing on the side.
