Cabbage, Chives, and Dried Daikon Salad

A savory make-ahead salad of shredded cabbage, garlic chives, and rehydrated daikon tossed with Kewpie Chinese Dressing. Great for meal prep.

  1. Kewpie Chinese Dressing

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 cabbage leaves (about 240g), finely shredded
  • 8 garlic chives (about 36g), cut into 3cm lengths
  • 30g dried daikon (kiriboshi daikon), rehydrated and drained
  • Chili threads (ito togarashi), to taste
  • 6 tablespoons Kewpie Chinese Dressing

Instructions

  1. Shred the cabbage into 3mm strips. Cut garlic chives into 3cm pieces. Rehydrate the dried daikon in water, then drain thoroughly.
  2. Combine the cabbage, chives, rehydrated daikon, and chili threads in a bowl. Toss well with Chinese dressing until fully coated.

Tips

  • Store in a clean, airtight container and refrigerate. Consume within 2–3 days.
  • Use fresh ingredients and ensure all tools and containers are clean for food safety.
