Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1/8 head of napa cabbage (about 240g), sliced 5mm wide
  • 1/5 carrot (about 36g), julienned
  • 1 green onion (about 2g), sliced diagonally
  • 1 chicken breast (about 180g)
  • 1/2 tbsp sake (or cooking wine)
  • 1/4 tsp salt + a pinch
  • A pinch of sugar

  • Kewpie Deep Roasted Sesame Dressing, Half Calories (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Slice the napa cabbage into 5mm strips and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Let sit until slightly wilted. Peel and julienne the carrot.
  2. Place chicken breast in a microwave-safe dish. Prick with a fork, sprinkle with sake, and rub in the sugar and 1/4 tsp salt. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for about 4 minutes. Let cool slightly, then slice into 5mm pieces.
  3. On a plate, layer napa cabbage, chicken slices, and carrot. Top with diagonally sliced green onion. Drizzle with sesame dressing and serve.

Tips

  • Wilt the cabbage slightly to enhance texture and flavor pairing with the dressing.
