Onion and Bean Sprout Salad

A crisp and refreshing salad of bean sprouts and onions with a sesame-spiced kick from Kewpie Chinese Dressing. Topped with daikon sprouts.

  1. Kewpie Chinese Dressing

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1/2 onion (about 94g), thinly sliced and soaked in water
  • 1/4 bag bean sprouts (about 63g), blanched and cooled
  • Daikon sprouts (kaiware), to garnish
  • 3 tablespoons Kewpie Chinese Dressing

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the onion and soak in water to reduce sharpness. Drain well.
  2. Blanch bean sprouts briefly in boiling water. Cool in water and drain thoroughly.
  3. Combine the onion and bean sprouts in a bowl. Toss with Chinese dressing until well coated.
  4. Serve on a plate and top with halved daikon sprouts for garnish.

Tips

  • You can enhance the salad by adding wood ear mushrooms or sliced ham.
