Simple Caesar Salad with Soft-Boiled Egg

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 3 leaves of romaine or leaf lettuce (about 87g)
  • 6 medium cherry tomatoes (about 72g)
  • 1 large egg (about 60g)

  • Kewpie Caesar Salad Dressing – to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the lettuce in cold water, drain well, and tear into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Crack the egg into a microwave-safe bowl (7–8 cm diameter), add 3 tablespoons of water (not listed in ingredients), and pierce the yolk once with a toothpick. Microwave uncovered at 600W for about 50 seconds. Drain and let it cool slightly.
  3. Arrange the lettuce and cherry tomatoes on a plate, place the soft-boiled egg on top, and drizzle with Kewpie Caesar Salad Dressing.

Tips

  • Always pierce the yolk before microwaving to prevent it from bursting.
  • Use an egg straight from the refrigerator and ensure the white is set. If undercooked, heat in 5-second increments as needed.
