
Teriyaki Mayo Onigiri with Kewpie Spread
These classic Japanese rice balls are filled and topped with Kewpie Teriyaki Sauce & Mayo Spread, adding a rich umami flavor to each bite. Great for lunchboxes, snacks, or light meals.
Ingredients (Makes 4 onigiri)
- 400g cooked rice
- 2 sheets of nori (seaweed), cut in half
- Salt, to taste
- 4 tablespoons Kewpie Teriyaki Sauce & Mayo Spread
Instructions
- Divide the cooked rice into 4 equal portions.
- For each rice ball, squeeze about 2 teaspoons of Kewpie Teriyaki Sauce & Mayo Spread into the center as filling. Lightly salt your hands and shape into a triangle.
- Wrap each onigiri with half a sheet of nori and top with an extra teaspoon of spread. Repeat for the remaining onigiri.
Tip: Use freshly cooked rice for better texture and easier shaping.
