Snowman Christmas Paysanne Salad

Celebrate Christmas with a cute snowman salad made from fried eggs, roast beef, and vegetables, topped with Kewpie Paysanne Salad Dressing.

  1. Kewpie Paysanne Salad Dressing

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 potato (110g)
  • 4 broccoli florets (60g)
  • 1/4 red bell pepper (40g)
  • 4 mushrooms (36g), halved
  • 4 small cherry tomatoes (36g)
  • 1/4 pack baby leaf greens (13g)
  • 80g roast beef
  • 1 egg (M size, 51g)
  • Seaweed (nori), as needed
  • Salt, to taste
  • Salad oil, as needed

  • Kewpie Paysanne Salad Dressing, to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the potato, wrap it in damp paper towel, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave (600W) for 3 minutes. Peel and cut into bite-sized pieces. Halve the mushrooms.
  2. From the red bell pepper, cut one trapezoid piece for the hat, two small circles for cheeks, and three 5cm x 0.5cm strips—cut one in half for the scarf. Finely dice the remaining pepper.
  3. Separate the broccoli into florets and boil in salted water until tender.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan and sauté the potatoes and mushrooms until golden.
  5. In the same pan, add more oil and crack in the egg. Fry uncovered on low heat for 3–5 minutes. Once cooled, trim the white into a circular shape for the snowman's face.
  6. Arrange baby leaves in a wreath shape on a plate. Add broccoli, roasted vegetables, tomatoes, and roast beef. In the center, place the diced red pepper and top with the snowman egg.
  7. Decorate the snowman with nori for eyes and mouth, and use the prepared red pepper pieces for the hat, cheeks, and scarf. Drizzle with dressing before serving.
