This warm bread salad combines grilled seasonal vegetables, sausages, and golden garlic toast made with Aohata Verde Garlic Toast Spread. Packed with flavor and texture, it's perfect as a main dish or a savory appetizer with drinks.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 slice sandwich bread (6-slice cut), cut into 6 squares
  • 3 green asparagus stalks, peeled and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 yellow bell pepper, sliced thinly
  • 2 sausages, sliced diagonally into thirds
  • Aohata Verde Garlic Toast Spread, as needed

Instructions

  1. Spread Aohata Verde Garlic Toast Spread on one side of each bread square.
  2. Prepare the vegetables: peel the bottom half of the asparagus with a peeler, slice yellow pepper into thin strips, and cut sausages diagonally into thirds.
  3. Heat a frying pan and squeeze 3 strips (about 10cm each) of the garlic spread into the pan. Once melted, add the vegetables and sausages, and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the pan. Add the bread slices, garlic-side down. Once golden, flip and add the cherry tomatoes. Cook until everything is evenly toasted and caramelized.

Tip: This dish can also be made in a toaster oven. Place the garlic-spread bread and vegetables on a baking tray, drizzle extra spread on top, and toast until golden.
